Low Poly Portrait
For this project, we made low poly portraits using the polygonal lasso tool in Adobe Photoshop. This technique involves a lot of time and patience for making lots of triangles. I chose the CIA agent (or Bill Willson according to Wikia) from "The Dark Knight Rises" as my subject.
I am very proud of how this turned out! At first, I thought I was supposed to use small triangles to get the details. I zoomed into the image and after hours of work and not a lot of progress I decided I needed to start over. After a bit of trial and error, I figured out the right-sized triangles I needed. The goals I achieved in this project include a minimalistic and three-dimensional look consistent with the low poly technique.
