Pastel Children's book

I had to come up with an original children's story, then lightly sketch the cover on pastel paper and then color and shade with pastels. Here I made a cover for a book about a fish who feels like he's not special, but soon discovers his secret ability. I am pleased that I put significant effort into this piece by coming up with an original story on the spot, and then using colors that I felt were right to me. I wish I wouldn't have drawn a black outline around Fester. He looked better without it.
